Copper Nugget Logistics, LLC - Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline the policies, responsibilities, and expectations governing all transportation services provided by Copper Nugget Logistics. By booking a shipment, the customer agrees to all terms set forth below.

Services Provided

Copper Nugget Logistics, LLC (“Carrier”) provides same-day and on-demand transportation services. Carrier is responsible for safe and professional handling of freight during transport.

Shipper Responsibilities

Shipper must provide accurate weight, dimensions, and descriptions of all items. Shipper is responsible for proper packaging, securing, and labeling of all freight. Copper Nugget Logistics is not liable for damage resulting from inadequate packaging or misrepresented freight.

Liability and Cargo Protection

Copper Nugget Logistics maintains commercial auto liability and cargo insurance coverage to protect both our operations and the shipments we transport.

While we take every precaution to ensure safe and secure delivery, customers are responsible for ensuring that all items are properly packaged and prepared for transport.

Coverage applies to loss or damage resulting in carrier negligence. However, Copper Nugget Logistics is not responsible for for damage caused by improper packaging, pre-existing defects, or circumstances outside of the carrier’s control, including weather, road hazards or unforeseen events.

For high-value shipments, additional insurance coverage is recommended and remains the responsibility of the shipper.

Delivery and Proof of Delivery

Delivery is considered complete when the freight is delivered to the address provided by the shipper. Copper Nugget Logistics will obtain proof of delivery in the form of a signature, photo, or timestamped confirmation. Once proof is recorded, responsibility for the freight transfers to the Shipper or Recipient.

Wait time

Copper Nugget Logistics includes 15 minutes of complimentary wait time at pickup and delivery. Additional wait time is billed at $10 per 15 minutes. If the freight is not ready or the recipient is not available upon arrival, wait-time charges begin after the complimentary period ends.

Cancellations

If a load is cancelled before the driver is dispatched, no fee will apply. If a load is cancelled after the driver has been dispatched, a $35 dispatch fee will be billed. If the driver has already arrived at the pickup location, the full minimum service charge of $75 will be billed.

Refusals

Copper Nugget Logistics reserves the right to refuse any shipment that is unsafe, improperly packaged, illegal, hazardous, or poses a risk to the driver, vehicle, or public safety. Carrier may also refuse freight that exceeds the vehicles capacity or violates DOT regulations.

Delays

Copper Nugget Logistics is not responsible for delays caused by weather, road conditions, traffic, accidents, law enforcement activity, or any circumstances outside the Carrier’s control. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Payment terms

Invoices will be issued within 48 hours of delivery. Payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise agreed to in writing. An invoice is considered late if not paid within 10 days of being issued, and may be subject to a $35 late fee. Net 15 terms are available for established clients. Copper Nugget Logistics reserves the right to require prepayment from new or high-risk customers.

Liability

Copper Nugget Logistics is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by factors outside the carrier’s control, including but not limited to weather, road conditions, acts of God, mechanical failure, or actions of third parties. Carrier’s liability is limited to the declared value provided by the customer at the time of booking. Undeclared or improperly packaged items may not be eligible for reimbursement.

Confidentiality

Copper Nugget Logistics will not disclose customer information, shipment details, or delivery data to any third party except as required for transportation, billing, insurance, or as required by law. All customer information is handled with professional discretion.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from services Provided by Copper Nugget Logistics shall be resolved in Michigan courts with appropriate jurisdiction.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking Copper Nugget Logistics, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all shipments unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties.

Amendments

Copper Nugget Logistics, LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will apply to services booked after the terms are published. Continued use of carrier services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms and Conditions.
